becoming a stay-at-home-mom has given me the opportunity to learn new things. things that i normally wouldn't have time to do otherwise. i've found a lot of enjoyment in in things like reading cookbooks and trying new recipes, to making homemade laundry detergent or shower cleaner. even homemade dog food (lucky benben!) so i thought why not homemade teething biscuits too? most store bought teething biscuits have extra ingredients like sugar or caramel color etc etc blah blah. i'm totally fine with that stuff. like i don't get my panties in a bunch about feeding baby #1 those things, but if i don't have to then i don't.
i actually enjoyed eating a few of these myself! maybe because i'm a sheltered stay-at-home-mom now anything tastes good? haha. kidding. the biscuits have a nice nutty flavor from whole wheat flour and a baby multi-grain cereal i added (that way baby #1 gets some iron). plus i had some extra sweet potato puree and cherry puree around for baby #1 so i threw that in there too. plus a little cinnamon that brings out natural sweetness.

homemade multi-grain teething biscuits
makes 30--2" stars
1/2 cup infant cereal (i used Earth's Best Baby Cereal in Multi-Grain)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup pureed fruit and/or veggies
1 T coconut oil
1 t saigon cinnamon
2 T water
1) mix all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
2) sprinkle some baby cereal or whole wheat flour on a work surface and roll out dough to a 1/4"-1/2" thick. cut out stars or whatever shape you like for baby. you can re-work the dough and roll it out again to make more cut outs.
3) bake at 425 F for 15-20 mins until browned. cool biscuits and store in an airtight container!
