Whaaaat. I got nominated for an award??
Thank you Kelly Jefferson from the blog With the Specs for nominating me for such an awesome award! She is such a cutie-patootie with a sweet fashion sense showing you how to dress well while still paying rent. I love how she is super informative on all matters she decides to blog about and I always learn something new.
So what is the Liebster Award you might ask?
The Liebster Award is a way to recognize, support and connect new bloggers for blogs that have 200 readers or less. As a way to show my gratitude I am posting questions every nominee answers as well as the ones the nominator has asked me so here goes!
What is my favorite blog?
The blog that really got me excited about blogging in the first place was Smitten Kitchen . The blog is still going strong today (in fact, Deb is now doing small cooking videos for Food Network--which is like my dream job). Her writing is amazingly uncanny and has a way of describing food that draws you in. I use her blog often when I am looking for any kind of recipe because she WILL HAVE A VERSION of whatever you are looking for and you can know that it is good.

Questions I received from Kelly:
What makes you happiest?
When dirt bike man and I get tired towards the end of the day, we get super silly and can't stop giggling when we're brushing our teeth. Name calling and saying "well, your butt is [insert stupid comment]" is a common phrase as is spitting toothpaste all over due to laughter and then we laugh more.
What is the one post I've done I love the most.
Some of my best recipes I did when I first started my blog. This one is my favorite a giant stacked cinnamon roll cake.
If I could hang out with one person for the rest of my life who would it be?
It would totally be my husband dirt bike man. He is the yin to my yang and peanut butter to my jelly. He perfectly balances me and my best friend.
What brand would I like to collab with?
Probably, Three Crabs Brand fish sauce.
How did your blogging experience get started?
I first started a blog in 2006 when I was a junior in high school. I wasn't very serious about it then, but I did post about once a month and the blog was called Swirled and Sprinkled. When I got to college, my professor heard about my blog and hired me to help her with a university based food blog. The same blog helped me to land a job at Conagra Brands. I then started From Me To Vuu in 2014 as a way to revamp my blog and be totally committed!
What is your favorite joke?
"Today someone threw cheese at me.....how DAIRY" HAHA.
What is one life lesson you will never forget?
This is a tough one because there are so many life lessons I could share. Once I moved to Chicago because I thought Nebraska was lame and I had to live somewhere else or I haven't lived. That was totally wrong. While I loved Chicago sooo much, I was homesick. I could not wait to go home and drive down a country road, windows down with country music on the radio.
What blog would I love to guest post on?
That would totally be Smitten Kitchen!
What advice would I give a new blogger?
Continue to network and genuinely connect with other bloggers. Also, be yourself, you can only be you and no one else! Don't compare yourself either (this is hard). Lastly, if you don't write and share what you know, you are depriving someone out there of your writing and a chance to connect with you!
Share your favorite YouTube video.
I found this today while watching Sesame Street with my son. It made my day. Piko Taro with Cookie Monster and Elmo.
