quick healthy chinese (part 3): chiu chow tofu

last but not least is a tofu dish!  these three side dishes can be eaten with rice or with buckwheat noodles or sweet potato noodles or anything you want!  what makes this tofu amazing is chiu chow chili oil which can be found at your asian market :)  its roasty and toasty and a little spicy and salty.  dirt bike man and i almost put it on everything.

chiu chow tofu

1 package of extra firm House Foods tofu

Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Chili Oil

avocado oil (or any other high heat oil)

1) cut tofu into 1" slabs

2) heat nonstick skillet over medium heat.  once hot, add oil

3) sear tofu on each side until brown

4) cut into 1" x 1" cubes and season with chiu chow to taste!  mix and serve.

5) this can be eaten right away or refrigerated and eaten cold!
