do you ever get an intense chocolate craving like me?
these tahini butter cups hit the spot like POWWWWWWWWWW.
i like to use an intensely dark chocolate like trader joe's pound plus bar at 72%. the slight sweetness and bitterness pair so nicely with the slight bitterness and creaminess of the tahini. aaaand these are super easy to make. just melt a little chocolate. and spoon in some tahini. ta da!! you have a tasty treat in a few lazy mins.

tahini butter cups
6 cupcake liners
a cupcake pan
1 medium microwave proof bowl
6 oz trader joe's pound plus 72% chocolate
6 heaping teaspoons of tahini butter
sesame seeds and coconut flakes for sprinkling
1) line cupcake pan with liners. melt chocolate in a microwave in 30 sec increments. making sure to stir really well once the chocolate starts melting since the helt from the bowl will continue to melt the chocolate.
2) once chocolate is melted, spoon about 2 teaspoons of chocolate into the bottom of a cupcake liner. place in freezer until firm. spoon a heaping teaspoon of tahini butter into each cup and freeze again until firm-ish. doesn't have to be perfect.
3) top each with remaining chocolate evenly and top with sesame seeds and/or coconut flakes. freeze until firm and then store in the fridge. ta da!!!
